I'm excited! My 151AL arrived with today's mail. My other two candlesticks are 20AL's so this will be a new learning experience.

Gotta scare up a cable to the subset. I think I have one in what the wife calls 'the big box of junk'. It's all treasure to me...

Oh. my.  I have about 8 "big boxes of junk" currently hiding in the closets of my two bedroom apartment, and about 20 more about 5 miles away in storage.  It's not all phone junk, however...

That's not counting the phone collection, proper, of course.

Aren't you mistaken with a 1 bedroom 1 phone room apartment? lol

That's a nice stick.  Don't see many 151's with a #4 dial.

Congratulations!  I recommend you upgrade that busted 144 with a 706, then you'll have basically a 302 in candlestick form.

It appears to be a 51AL--3-wire harness and only one terminal block. A photo of the switch contacts would help clarify.

Looks like they punched the perch mark a little too hard so it looks like a 1 at first glance

Well... One room *is* my office, and that is where the 4-line 1A2 KSU lives, but every room in my apartment is a "phone room"!  :)

Here's a better picture of the perch. It looks like the leading '1' and trailing 'Y' were added after the original '51AL'.

Didn't they sometimes convert 51AL's to 151AL's? I know I need to open it up to confirm but I have to work up the nerve. I still haven't built up the confidence with these candlesticks that I have with 202's, 302's and 500's.

What the heck does the 'Y' indicate?

Thoughts?

All 151ALs are conversions from earlier models: 51AL, 50AL, 20AL, 20B, etc.

The single terminal block sure says it's a 51AL. I'll hook it to the 534A later today. I'm excited anyway. Now if the darn thing will just work when I hook it up!
