I recently acquired a Western Electric #11 phone booth in excellent original condition. It was manufactured in the second quarter of 1951.

I would like to get a payphone that would be period correct for mid-1951 timeframe.
Western Electric, Automatic Electric, or Northern Electric would all be fine.

What models should I be looking for? I have done some research but there does not seem to be any chronological information about when the various models were introduced or taken out of production.
Any help and information would be very much appreciated.

I checked my phone line by taking a phone with a tone/pulse switch and switching it to pulse. I was able to dial out fine and connect.

Thanks, John

1951 is around the time that calls increased from 5c to 10c. Early 10c models include the WE 191G and the NE 191H.
