Followup:

I posted a couple of reference photos from this auction. The book  Photo Is from Dommer's Book 1983 "The Telephone Connection" by John J. Dommers.

The Dommers phone shows a solid handset and is is missing the cutout Boss.

I also found out Federal Made a "302" style phone. Federal 302's  had the cutout and the guts are much different than a WE 302.

I believe this auction is a WE 302 and Federal Handset.
