Anyone know the correct diameter and thread size for type 38 ringers?

NE Docs identify it only as part number PP10848

Also like to know the same info for the ringer mounting screw

NE Docs specify it as PP 6317.

Got the information I needed, so I am going to share it here...

The PP10848 Gong screws are 10-32 x 1/4 to 3/.8" and the PP 6317 ringer mounting screws are  8-32 x 1".

Gong screws are very short - 3/8 or less. Jeff Lamb mentions he uses stainless  round head. slotted screws.  Polished stainless looks exactly like fresh nickel plating, so if the gongs are nickel plated, the stainless 10-32's look like they're factory screws.

No problem. But don't thank me, thank Jeff Lamb who had the answer. I come across these questions, and it is nice to be able to share the results of the "quest". Needless to say, I have ordered some of the screws and I am hoping the information will also help others!

Stainless steel will work for display but care needs to be taken since the stainless steel is much harder than the brass gong.  If the screws are tightened too much, the screw will dig into the brass gong.  No problem if it is only for display but if the plan is to ring the gongs, the screw can gouge the gong.

10-32 x 1/4" brass slotted round head machine screws are still available today.  If you decide to use a washer, a #10 silicon bronze split lock washer will work.

I have received many gongs for nickel plating with deep gouge marks around the hole in the center of the gong caused by steel lock washers.
