I bought an AE 80 from 1959 a couple  of weeks back and it had a hole drilled in the back After about 45 minutes of work i fixed the hole I am letting it dry now. I wll post some pictures later on.
Heres what you will need:

Pair of wire pliers
Pair of needle nose pliers
A soda top lid
A few tooth picks
A peice if thick card stock
Some very strong tape
Super gule

Step 1.
Take the Card stock and double may times and tape securly under hole.

Step 2.
Take wire pliers and remove some of the plastic support for the case and lay asside.

Step 3.
put a peice of the case in the soda top and drench in super glue

Step 4.
When the plastic sticks to the tooth pick but can be removed place in the hole. Continue until the hole is filled and is a little bit higher than the cases surface.

to be continued....... I am working on this as i type

Very Nice, Kenny!
Now guys we have a new person to send those broken, mutilated phones to for repair!
Maybe another adhesive to consider is 2 part epoxy, may sand better.

I am almost done !!!!! I am stunned by it I didn't know I could do such a thing I like one more coat of glue to finish it up. You can't tell it was there unless you go hunting for it. I will probably get pictures up tommorrow. I am excited

September 1959. The "8" is not related to the date and no one has positively nailed down exactly what it means. Plant and/or shift numbers has been suggested but the jury is still out. Heck, the jury hasn't been spotted for years now. A couple more years and I'm going  to declare that they have given up....

Kenny;
That should work very well. It looks like you pulled that one out.  If you take your time with the final sanding and polishing, it should almost undetectable.
