Fixing bad 1212 Fatboy connectors on screw terminals...

If you're familiar with wires with the ring type connectors to a screw terminal in a SC 1212 or similar set with the lead soldered to it where the conductors are in bad shape, you know the aggravation they cause sometimes...

One way I get around that is to replace the old connector with a spade lug appropriate to the wire size and crimp it onto the wire after clipping the old lug connector off, then reconnect it where it goes.

The insulation piercing ones are best.

I can't guarantee it will work every time, but it sure helped with a 1212 I'm presently "busy" with..
Has anyone else solved a problem like this in a similar way?
