Hi guys,

Its been a long time since i posted here in the forums. Is there a way to prevent yellowing/discoloration of colored phones?

There is a product I saw at our local hardware, some kind of clear laquer that can be sprayed on to any surfafe to prevent UV damage like discoloration. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks in advance

Hide it in an underground nuke shelter, away from all sources of UV light, don't smoke near it, keep it wrapped up & vacuum packed, and never ever use it... :D

Or just keep it out of sunlight, away from bright fluorescent lights, and away from tobacco smoke, and it should help prevent any surface yellowing... :)

Of course, some plastics naturally turn yellow due to unstable compounds in them, so even without exposure, they can turn yellow, which is really annoying, like one of my Amiga A600s, kept inside of a closed box, yet still has turned yellow.... :o

Another question, does high temperature also contribute to yellowing?
