My second Norwegian phone (first here:http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=13118.msg212806#msg212806).

The diagram seems to match the "Bergen version" (http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=10196.0).

I could not find any indication which let me estimate year of production. Is it somehow identifiable?

IDs I found:
On bottom plate outside: "ST 2605"
On diagram: "Fabrikasionslopenr : 513255"
On dial rim: "A.S Elektrisk Bureau * Oslo"

I could not find any indications on any other part.

hoping on that perhaps @dsk may know more :-)

I found now some Information regarding years of make for this phone in the Norwegian Book "Telephones in Norway 1880 - 2000". According to that book 143k of these instruments were made between 1932 and 1954. From 1932 to 1942 with "blank/metallic" dials and from then onwards with "black/bakelite" dials. Mine must then be from 1942 or earlier. The serno of 513255 would be at about a third of total production ... so most probably nearer to 1942 than to 1932. I dated it now at ~1941 in my collection database :-) - completely incorrect, see posts below

If they are numbered from 000 001 to 143 000 --- then 513 255 is greater than either number.

upps, thanks poplar1 ... yes, I was completely wrong - it's evening here - apparently my brain was already preparing for shutdown :-) - so my analysis was not useful - hm ... either book wrong or the "fabrikasjonslopenr" has some other code/meaning

For completness the text i refered to earlier:

Quote
Apparatet ble altså produsert med blank nummerskive fra 1932 - 1942, og med sort nummerskive fra 1942 - 1953. Produksjonstid: 21 ar, antall eksemplarer 143000.
(The instrument was thus produced with a blank dial disc from 1932 to 1942, and with black dial disc from 1942 to 1953. Production time: 21 years, quantity 143000.)

Probably the production serial number is not limited to this model but to the entire EB production?
