Hi everybody ,
I have a WE  500  C/D 5-53  deskset with a 6-53 network that was refurbished in the 60's and would like to know what the correct dial is for this phone. I could also use a handset in that time frame.  Thanks , stub

Dial is a 7-A I believe.

I have a 9/53 500 with a 9/53-dated 7C dial.  Maybe Paul F.'s site has information on when the 7C replaced the 7A.

Ideally, the handset you want for your phone would be a bakelite G1 with cord retainer molded into the handset and flat-bottom transmitter cup, but outwardly any bakelite G1 manufactured as late as the mid-ish 60's will look the same, and it will feel and weigh the same.  You just want to steer clear of a later 60's or 70's plastic G3.
