Actually, that is more common than you think!  I have even seen Med Blue 500's mod'ed out like that!

Doing some research in the past contests, I spotted this one (#211) showing the notch in the back has or had a dramatic affect on the value of the phone. Back then, this phone sold for $66.55.

This contest image shows a back corner crack that look very much like the one in the current $300 listing, the attached images below. So, seems like the same phone but now with a $300 price tag on it, and a chip missing from the handset mouse hole area making it even more of a project than before.



According to jsowers reply, it was "Telephoneoperator" -- e***r ( 3398 ) -- who lived in Texas that bought the phone for $66 but the seller now is "misse_74" who is shipping out of New Hampshire.

Thanks John. I was pretty sure I had seen it before. It looks like they put the body on a different base too gongs look dirtier.
