Is there an input from an Alarm Clock on that thing?

Very cool ;D
Is it actually a phone ringer or is it a doorbell?
What is inside? Got a picture of it open?

That is a DC ringer, so a doorbell would be a good guess.

A doorbell for the cows in the barn to be more precise?

May be able to modify a phone ringer to put in there making it a telephone extension ringer.

This was my "find" of the the day at Brimfied five weeks ago.  A Grammont wood and metal phone. Resembles a Stick, bit it has a metal and bakelite handset and a watchcase "mother in law" receiver. This was in tough shape, wood had paint all over it and some chips that I could not repair. I covered the botom with my last Marie Prweitt 202 (just fit) base cover that she made so well. I used medium and then fine steel wool on the wood and the metal. I used Howards mahogany restor a finish and I am quite happy with it. Certainly not perfect, but it came out well. The cords were really bad and I used a combination of the Howards and skin so soft. Kept the cord supple and did color them to close to the original color. The cords are getting a second application as I write this. This is a very unusal phone that I have only seen in metal and never wood. ....Doug
