I would like to use a 302 base as a subset, but where would the black wire from the condenser go?  In a complete phone, it goes to the B terminal on the dial assembly.

You can use the GND screw terminal, which is on the small block that also has the K terminal.

Originally, on a 302 with a 3-conductor line cord (red, green, yellow), the yellow conductor of the line cord was terminated on GND. But the yellow is no longer needed.

Connect line red to L1, green to L2-Y.

Connect 202, 211, or 151AL as follows:
Red to R
Green to GN
Yellow to L2-Y
Black to GND (along with black capacitor wire)
