Matilo Telephones

Do T and R not mean Transmitter and Receiver?

Are these not connected to the handset?

Some payphones do not give a tone, unless the Phone is released by putting in a coin.

Hey Matilo,
I guess you are right on that, I didn't thought about it. Because when you lok at the connector pictures my handset and mic are connected on L1/L2
So it would mean that I need to plug my cable on T1/R1.
Any idea about what would be the T2/R2 in that case? Just to understand the logic behind it.

But thanks for your poin will make some tries tonight.

I do not know if you have altered these connectios before. Did you?

I thought perhaps t1 and t2 are for the transmitter, r1 and r2 for the receiver, so 4 wires in the handset cord.

And of course that leave l1 and l2 for the telephone line.

I cannot tell from the pictures how your handset is connected to the Phone, at this moment.

By the way, I am in the Netherlands. I could have a look at your Phone, if you happen to be in the neighbourhood.

Hey guys,
@Matillo Thanks for your infos and answer, I could take you on that maybe skype. I'll message you if I start to be on a dead end.

So far i figured something:

L1/L2 = landline
T1/T2 = mic
R1/R2 = speaker

So normally when plugin in into the L1/L2 should give me a tone but nothing and wierdly only having a tone and can dial on T1/T2 but phone call hang up before being connected.

A friend of mine suggested to look at some rooter parameter because it could be that the rooter doesn't give enough juice ( i will lok for it ).

It was just a post to clarify all the mess :)

Thanks
