Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that an ITT/Cortelco (2)500 ringer assembly in there? :o

I'm impressed they didn't use the cheap bells like in my Steepletone and ProtelX phones... :D

It doesn't sound like an American ringer (like they sound on the TV) - maybe it's just badly adjusted. The gap between the clapper and the gongs sounds wrong so it goes ringddddddd rather than ringggggg

It looks like an ITT Cortelco ringer to me also.I do not like these ball bearing ringers .Replaced one in a flea market 2500 set with an amplified handset I bought at the flea market today $5.00
They must not have paired the gongs corectly.

It's the "Direct Line" insurance company prop, they must have had a batch made for customers or publicity.

Always wondered what was inside them, nothing much it seems.
