Title: 202A and N515H
Post by: ..... on May 04, 2015, 01:48:52 PM
I picked this Northern Electric 202A and N515H Subset up at an estate auction today for $65.00 plus tax $73.45 CDN total.
I don't know how to use it, but I think I'm going to learn real quick. The subset is all dated 56 and the 202A dates are all over the place.

Doug ...    Nice find !     The inside of the 202 is one of the cleanest I've seen.       The set was designed for local battery magneto service.     The N515H subscriber set is an anti-sidetone set, and was intended for single party service, or a lightly loaded party line.     If you intend on wiring it for common battery, I'd suggest swapping out the 104-A induction coil for a 101-A.     See attached pages from the N.E. T-8 (1954) Telephone Catalog.

Thanks Jeff,

I'll have to do some research before I attempt to use it. My knowledge of magneto phones is nil.
