The dial definitely looks like a WE, the transmitter appears to be a British GPO type, the base looks sort of like an AE, but not quite.  Any ideas?  I certainly wouldn't pay $86 for the mongrel.

This might be an Autelco rebuild. This was a division of Automatic Electric. Not to be confused with the Italian company.  Look for ar in a circle stamp in ink. I have seen these bases on other brands of non dial sticks to convert these.WWll shortage of new telephones caused these.

What about the British transmitter?

Possibly from Canada?I assume from the stem up is all British and the base and bottom cover modified AE.
