A good manual D mount find on eBay

In addition to an attractive buy-it-now price the listing suggested original finish. As far as I can tell, It does look like the original unworn finish. It had a rubber covered handset cord which I exchanged for a WECo cloth covered cord I had: and I added a number card.

Yes that is a VERY nice find !!!  Not that it matters, but is this an early or late D1 ? 

I forget the year it was changed.  I think it was about 1932. Do others recall ?

I have some nice #4 dials, but I had not even thought of adding one to it. It will remain a manual.
