Labor Day my wife and I went to a antique mall that we had seen last month. We didn't stop because we were on my bike and a severe thunderstorm warning was posted for the area and approaching.

We are looking for either a 1930's era end table or a telephone bench as a place for my WE 102 as we are moving the desk it sits on to another room.

My wife points out a phone to me. Painted black. The cord stands out. An Imperial, dial seems to work fine, handset cord cover frayed but original. Yes, you can see the gold in a couple of places. Painted the handset also. Mated to a 1968 685 subset.

Bad enough the condition, nope, gets worse IMO. Price $200.00  If it hadn't been painted I would have tried to bargain it down a bit as I could use the subset for my 233G. Unknown how much "prep" they did to the handset and the rest of the phone to "restore" it.

You should be able to find a 685A for around $25. And decent Imperials can be found for around $50.
