At the request of DSK some pics of my Norwegian phone, especially the markings.

Markings underside a label with type number, sadly incompete and a repair/refurbishment label in Norse (of course DSK knows that, but other readers may not.  ;))

The diagram is in English and Norse.

I also took a pic of the connectorblock. Maybe the letters  on it may tell us something. I'm not sure that it was made in Norway.

The other 2 of my phones were made in Antwerp and both have the exact same schematic. Here is a pic, as you requested Iñaki.

The other diagram is in my other post.

And here are my wall versions, while we are on the subject.

The first one is the one with external bells. That one works fine on my outside line. This one has a diagram in English. No other markings.

The second one (of which I have 3) has internal bells. It also has a strange button which interacts with the ringer. All three have that and I haven't figured out how to make it work. But that is a whole other thread. Decal says made in Antwerp.

I have a third with external bells, partially restored. I has a nice coat of arms of the Netherlands on it.

I have tried to translate the label.
O.T.A. Oslo Telefon Anlegg was a telephone company in Oslo. early nationalized, but live its own life within Telegrafverket.
The S.E. 31 Was a Standard Electric made telephone with anti sidetone. This telephone was not imported many years, and in 1934 the Elektrisk Bureau telephones with S.E. dials became the main version until 1953.

I found a wiring diagram that might be the same of these models.

It's from TCI

Thank you Harry!

I have only this one (the first picture), which I made while I was connecting the last wires ;)

dsk

You have done a great job.

It seems to be an equal telephone to what Oslo used (reverse dial).
I'm still missing the original hings.

This telephone as it stands and works in my living room.

Matilo Telephones

Oh wow, great job you both on these.

Love the dialcard. It says do not turn the dial until you hear the dialtone, right?

Iñaki, did you just polish the outside? Is it still original paint?

The tube of the handset is black. Did you paint it? The rest of the metal parts of the handset are nickel plated.

Yes please. the original hings will make it look perfect. It was in pretty bad shape when I got it so it has a newer induction coil, receiver and transmitter inside the old shield. Works with quality even better than a W.E. 302. (Keeping it like that makes it well fitted for use, and nobody complaints about sound quality.)

The dial card is a reproduction, and tells you to remove handset, wait for dial tone, and then turn the dial. For many people this might have been the first automatic telephone they ever had seen or used.

All the paint and decals are original with its wear and tear, just cleaned spots covered with black felt-tip pen and waxed with car polish.

Spanish_phones

Great job Dsk! I love your phone!

Matilo, you're right, the dial card says exactly that. I painted all black parts, they were in such a bad condition that polishing them wouldn't make any better.

The handset tube was black, so I repainted it in black too.

And, sorry for my bas english, but... What "hings" means?

The last think that I need to finish the restoration would be the front decal of Standard aelectric, but I think nobidy reproduce it.

dsk

It may be even my English, not using the most common words. I tried Google translate, and ended up with bisagras
