Please see the pics. I'm not sure how to describe this WE meter. Does anyone know what it is and what it it used for? It is marked WE and Daven.
Thanks

Well, the meter itself (VU Meter) measures sound levels, so something to do with audio, that's for sure... :D

Years ago Western Electric made amplifiers and sound systems for theatres and the motion picture industry.  Often times in the credits of a movie, you will see a credit for sound provided by Western Electric.

A VU meter was used to measure the sound units going through a sound system VU is a term known as "volume units"

It was likely part of a sound system.

2 radio stations I have worked in still had those in the "rack".Could have been in a position in the patchbay to set standard levels. Should bring good money to the Western Electric audio nuts
