Talking about gold phones, did any one of us win this phone?  It was one the commemorative phones given to the Governors of all the states in 1967.  It caught my eye because I've seen the one presented to Ronald Reagan when he was Governor of California, it's in the museum at the Reagan Library.  This one sold for $99 on eBay on Sept. 29.

I wish I had seen that one. That went very cheap. If anyone here got it. I would be interested in trading for it.

Ok, so I'm going to bend the rules here just a little and pretend that I were able to keep two phones, in which case they would be my two in the box never used  2003 Cortelco 500s because they're both highly uncommon, and I've never seen a red phone as nice as this one, or a 500 that came with a volume-control handset as a standard feature, as the ash-coloured set did. I know many have seen these photos before, so bear with me. The red phone came in the identical style box and packaging
