They used to be very stingy with spending on presidential limousines.  Several of them were worked over numerous times because they just weren't allowed the funds to build new ones.  But I'm with you... If I were a president following that event, I don't think I could have ridden in it.  I don't think I could even now.

One of my favourites is the W111 Mercedes coupe from the early 60's:

If we want to talk old Mercedes coupes, how about one of these beauties?

I'm guessing 1986 or '87 because of the composite headlights.  That body was around forever, though.

Yeah, I'd guess mid 80's due to the headlights, I think that body style was made from 1898 to 1998, give or take. ;D

You're on the money Bing!  It's an 87.  That was the first year of the Composite headlites as you said.  The body was around in 79 too though Dennis.  Very little changed in or out on these babies through the years of this body style (1977-1990) the sad part is this yacht was a 'downsized' version!  I could go on and on about the B-Body Caprice from these years, but I won't bore you, if you're interested in wagons, there's a great site that I'm also an active member on.

I've also had a few wagons myself.
I want one like the 57 buick in your link.

As far as modern cars go, this might be my new favorite.  Well, I can dream...

Eh, Dennis? :)

Pretty cool!  We live near the Sierra Sky Park, where people have garages for their light planes, all the street are designed for planes to taxi on with low signs etc, and there is a runway in the heart of the neighborhood.
