I hope I did better this time.  Too many pictures to post here, and it came with a 634 BA subset with a backboard.  What I'm most concerned about is the mouthpiece, I pretty sure it's a repro, I compared it to these examples: http://www.oldphoneman.com/FakeMP.htm .  Also the receiver diaphragm looks homemade.  Plus side - a 4H dial.  I need to know where the ringer wires go, and how to hook it up to the subset to test it.

The pictures are on my Photobucket account: http://tinyurl.com/6clrzul

It looks really nice.  The mouthpiece does not look like a WE to me, but I personally wouldn't care so much about it.  If you want a real WE mouthpiece, you will probably find one without much trouble for $20-$30.  The dial is a converted #2.  It should be nice and loud when it turns.

Have you looked for wiring diagrams on the TCI Library site (http://www.telephonecollectors.info/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=337&Itemid=27)?

After tinkering with it more, I discovered that the cone part unscrews.  It's definitely repro.  I'm glad it unscrews easily, it's really cheesy.  (It would make a good miniature flower pot).  That can be easily replaced with the real thing, so I wasn't too concerned about it.  What I don't get is the part it screws into, especially that "tag".  It says "Western Electric Company", but then it has something that looks like it was crossed out.  But the backside of it has a part (don't know what it's called) dated Jun 34.  It looks like it may have been tinkered with before, judging from the wear marks on a couple of the screws, but not recently, they were on there tight.

I don't like repros unless it's a minor part or something temporary until the real thing can be found, so I want to identify any and all repro parts on this.  So far for sure it's the cone, and maybe the piece it screws into?

I'll be looking for a decent receiver diaphragm too.  Looks like somebody made that one in their garage.
