I guess....(?)......what do they do, how do they work? And where did you get them? Do they work? Do they play Edison "records" across a telephone connection?

I thought that I had seen them before so did a search and found that you posted the same topic and pictures awhile ago. No one asked any questions then. I think that I intended on asking more about them then but maybe waited for someone else to enquire.
