Title: Re-assembly of Automatic Electric Starlite illuminated dial.
Post by: markosjal on December 28, 2021, 03:06:17 AM
I am reassembling an Automatic Electric Starlie dial with illuminating disc .

I thought that it assembled as the following layers:

Plastic number plate
Illuminating disc
transparent Plastic (acetate?) disc
Potted metal dial mechanism

disc.
However when  I reassemble that way the illuminating disc is not tightly compressed ad can move around slightly. I am worried that  the transparent insulator may slip out of  place . So I am thinking I am missing something.

I  found some exploded views of AE dials but none with the illuminating

Thanks in advance
Mark

Thanks for that info.  I just did not assume it was normal.
