This is a common battery subset that I have never seen before. I think it says "180A." This one was painted and modified by the Minneapolis WE Repair Shop in 1924, then apparently rewired again after that.

Thank you for your post.  I have a similar phone Type 216 "Special" and it looks exactly like your Type 124 photo.  Any thoughts?
