Very nice selection of sets. Why do you have the housing off a couple sets? So people can see in insides??
Long time back I had an NOS ITT 2500 in clear, it took about six months to find a clear face plate on a brown set of all things, in a yard sale. I wish I had kept it... I even found a completely clear H4DU handset cord for it as well.

The reason for the open Contempra's is that one is a prototype and the others are engineering samples.

Was the Contempra handset used as a buttset? I recall seeing one one time somewhere.
Yes it was, and by Bell Canada. There may have been other companies that used these sets, but I'm not aware of them. They had 2 versions, one for use as a standard butt set by field techs, and one for technicians working on data lines. It's catalog designation was QSE4.
