Hello everyone!

As you might know I bought a panisonic 616 of ebay for 4.99 with 40 dollars in shipping including 1 programing phone and 4 non display phones. I bought the system to use it maybe some day as a phone system in the house but for right now just to play around with and call other phones. It can also be used as a rotary to pulse converter and you can test ringers with it... You probably know that last detail.

Currently I have 7 phone hooked up to it with plenty of room for expansion. I will make dial cards with its 2 didget number so I don't forget what number is what phone. Though I can memorize it for right now... I also have one c.o. line hooked up.

Picture posted below and I have made a quick presentation which you can view here: http://goo.gl/TsgfA Also: Sorry for the bad picture just a quick one..

Caution: If you live with your parents or someone else who might not like you ringing phones late at night this product may not be for you.

You may want to program "night service"   if you don't want incoming calls on the Central Office line to ring all 7 phones at night.

I am sorry

I have my system set to automatically change between night and day modes, though I haven't assigned anything to either mode as of yet (need to read the manual and try to work it out!!)... :D

I think I have the wrong manual or progarming phone.

IIRC the manuals or a link to the manuals were posted here in the recent past.

Use the KX-T7130 on the first extension (on yours it should be 11), set the switch on the system to Program, power it up an off you go... :)

Twocvbloke - aren't there two programming versions of the 61610 distinguished by a "circled 2" and a "circled 3" on the KSU plate? I remember reading that in this thread

http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=7160.30

saying that the 3 is a newer version with different programming codes than the older 2 version.

twocvbloke

Yeah, it's confusing that they have separate programming setups for basically the same thing, but I guess it's a a case of "If one doesn't work, try the other"... :D

Hi Ben:

Just a note:

You should mount your KSU vertically - setting it on a flat surface like that will eventually cause the power supply to fail, as it can't cool properly. It is designed for proper cooling when mounted vertically. Just an FYI....

Ah ok. I don''t keep it on when I'm not using it but would propping it up against the wall help? Vertically?

Thanks,
Ben
