Illuminated Exit Sign

I do love the old illuminated exit signs that I remember as a kid. Picked it up at Brimfield. It had these littlie screws that I had never seen before, but I finally found the right screwdriver that would get them out.

I had to rewire both bulb sockets as I did not trust the old wiring. It came out very nice, still BRIGHT with two 25 watt bulbs (last ones as one was DOA  ) inside.

I missed that one.  Looks nice, but i'd wager the clear window was intended for the bottom with the light ceiling mounted.  I always especially liked the edge lit engraved lucite exit signs as well.

I do agree. I just have it on a shelf with the mount acting as a stand...Doug
