Kellogg Candlestick with Ringer Problems

Hey guys.  My mom has a kellogg phone with the oak ringer box.  The Phone works fine routed through the ringer box, but the ringer does not ring.  I cannot find any broken wires any where.  Any thoughts on how a newbie can troubleshoot one of these?

A picture of the connections might give some insight.

If it is a magneto ringer with a crank handle, it will not ring on incoming calls. If its a a small table ringer box or a wall ringer with a condenser , it should work and has Harry said, a picture of the connections would help....good luck....Doug

That is it.  I magneto with a crank...  It does work.

It works when you crank the magneto and not on incoming calls? If that is the case it is correct, it will not ring on incoming calls. A magneto was not meant to be connected to today's phone lines....Doug
