I just bought a phone made in Norwalk, Connecticut. Just a small town near my hometown. I lived in Norwalk before I moved to Florida. I never knew anyone made phones there. I could not resist! I did know my hometown, Stamford, Conn was home to the Yale lock company for many years. Never heard of the company, Edwards, so I am interested to see what it is.

That is a distinctive handset.

We still occasionally find Edwards gear in New England. A few I found many years ago are on my site here:

I have also found Edwards buzzers in quite a few non-Edwards intercoms.

There is a 1927 Edwards catalog in the TCI Library, but it was published before they moved from NYC to Norwalk in the 1930s. As you can see from the catalog, they were well established with lots of products and several sales offices.

Edwards was a supplier of buzzers to the Bell System and some of their products carry KS- numbers.  I have an earlier NOS Edwards buzzer that was used on wooden phones like the apartment versions of the 293-A and 127-A

The handset certainly is interesting.
The caps look very much like WE ones - are they?
