A 33 Hz ringer is highly frequency selective, and might buzz a little, but probably wont ring loud and clear.  If the ringer has two leads, black and white, the connection would be to connect one lead to L1, and the other to A, and then a jumper wire between K and L2.

You would need a straight line 20 Hz ringer for optimum results.

OK, I misunderstood.  The Starlight ringer has red, green, blue and black leads and is internally wound differently than a 500 ringer.  Connect red to L2, green to A, place a jumper wire between L1 and K.  Put some electrical tape over the blue and black leads (individually) and tuck them away so they don't touch each other or other parts of the phone.

Uh oh, sounds like a Frankenphone rising from the crypt!

If the SC 500 will take a WE C4 ringer, then that is always a less "Frankenphone" alternative.
