My wife's AE-34 came to us in really good shape but with a coiled cord.  I told her I'd put on a proper straight one, but she likes the old thick coiled one.  There is no restraint in the handset and I'd like to get one for it - can anyone suggest a source and/or provide me with a photo of one so I can fabricate it?  Thanks.

Cloth covered cords usually have a string to be attached inside the handset to work as a strain relief. Curly cords usually have a hook terminated strain relief. If the current cord does not have one, maybe you can fashion one to secure the cord inside the handset.

Thanks.  I noticed that there was an unoccupied threaded hole at the top of the inside of the microphone  compartment and I thought there might be a screwed in metal strain relief part there - I've seen such things in some early phone parts sites but nothing for the AE-34.
