Stopped at a yard sale this morning,  and picked up this nice Princess 701B Dated 9-62 in pretty good shape.    Ash loves her princess phones and shes getting quite a collection of them.  She's putting in a bookcase dedicated to them in her computer room.

I think it is probably white.  The cord looks lighter in color, so the case has likely yellowed a bit.  Also, Paul-F's web site says that the ivory princess was introduced in 1967, and this one is dated 1962.

9-62 is the date of original manufacture.

"R469" is the date the telco-owned set was remanufactured at the local WE service center. So the original white, pink, light beige, aqua blue, or turquoise could have been changed to ivory in 1969. However, I agree that it is white. Best way to verify is to unscrew the receiver cap and check the color.
