"Worlds largest telephone. Elden Hathaway who owned the last crank telephone company in the U.S. This large telephone in Bryant Pond, Maine is in recognition of Mr. Hathaway and his last crank phone company. He sold the company in 1981. This link shows some photos from a book written by his son."

Cool. Somewhere I have one of the Bryant Pond phones which came with a bunch of ephemera, phone directory, stationary, a bill and some blank dial cards. I have to try and remember where I packed it.

I just did a search to see if I had posted pictures here but I did not find any. I did find a previous post about the extra large candlestick:

That was a great book by the way. It all happened around the switchboard.. It was fun reading about the family and all the things that happened over the years there in Bryant Pond.
