...but I can't help it.  This one is a little bit of a later model than I normally would have picked up, but because it was in near-mint condition and not a modular, I went ahead and bought it.  Another CL find, $20, the guy even willingly shipped it.  1979 Stromberg-Carlson, mustard yellow.  Would like to get a matching line cord for it.

Nice phone.

You seem to slow down the way I slow down.  Instead of buying two a week, I may slow down to three a week.

Someone needs to keep the economy going.

That's a nice looking late model SC.  Hardwired to boot.  Think of yourself as performing a valuable economic stimulus for the nation and you can sleep well at night and keep buying old phones.

;D Well, I did send you all my leads in Portland instead of checking them out myself.  Let us know if you latch on to any of them.

Nice looking SC. After I decided not to get anymore phones for a while, I ended up spotting that black WE500 last weekend for really cheap, got a red '75 S-C for free, then bought a GTE Starlite wall phone 'cause at that price, it was too good to pass up, then bought  S-C 1243 for the same reason.
