Title: Fat Boys in color
Post by: Just4Phones on November 15, 2012, 09:19:08 AM
I saw this ad on EBAY last night and it got me wondering why I never saw any of the actual phones for sale on EBAY.  Maybe they weren't popular?  I sure would like a green one  ;D.  Has anyone ever seen one for sale?  LOL maybe its a good thing I never saw one because then I would need one in every color  :-\

I go for a green one too. And as you see the pricing is quite stable, you can still get a new phone to that price.  :D But not a new rotary  >:(

Most sold at that price were painted.  I wonder if these beauties are still available...

It is sad that the old plastics were so unstable.
Somewhere in my boxes I have a White? AE 40 that looks like an alligator.

"Classic Ivory" or maybe it was "Old Ivory"

I have an Ivory AE40 that looks like an Alligator on the back as well....good description! Sun Damage I think.

Back to the SC 1212 "Fat Boys', I have a painted one in medium gray. I think I got it from PhoneCo years ago. This advertisement is from a refurbisher rather than SC so they probably painted them what ever colors they could sell. To go from $10 for balck to $14 for color is a pretty hefty premium for a colored phone! Especilly a painted one.
