New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed about 12 hours ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at $45.00 ( with thanks to both Fabius and LoveOldPhones for the suggestion ) is another WE 500 Med Blue with a fat grey handset cord. The seller provided a good array of pictures but a few more could have better presented the phone. Since being listed, the phone has received 2 bid from 2 buyers but it has more than 6 days to find more bids. So, who best knows what this phone will sell for when the auction ends?

NOTE:  We will use a $5 gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest. All guesses, original and a single allowed revised guess if needed, must be submitted at least 24 hours before the auction ends.

The seller listed it as an "Vintage Mediterranean Blue Western Electric Model 500 Telephone" with the item condition as "Used" and "The telephone has been meticulously restored. Please see description below for full details" and with the auction listing description saying "Vintage Mediterranean blue Western Electric Model 500 telephone. This is a nice soft plastic telephone dated 7–56 and is one of the more difficult colors to fine. It has the early, fat gray cords which are in good condition. It has a NOS hollow core finger wheel, an original number card, and newly covered foot pads. The phone is in very good shape EXCEPT for two minor defects: 1) there is a shadow on the top of the handset, possibly caused by adhesive from a sticker, 2) there is small defect (not a crack) in the plastic in the back of the shell. Please review the pictures as part of your evaluation. I've tried to show an accurate picture of these blemishes. The shadow on the handset is very difficult to see. The telephone is fully functional, lightly sanded, and buffed to reflect the original color. The telephone is ready for display/use, but the buyer may want to contact their dial tone provider to confirm the acceptance of rotaty dialing"
