Grounding , Bonding or?

When I served we used only magneto type equipment, and grounding was never an issue.

I know especially in dry environment, static electricity may be a problem, but its not my experience, at least not related to telephony.

Now I got up my step by step PAX, and I know it has been common to ground +.
I have now considered what to do, and ended up with putting in a 200 kilo-ohms resistor between + and ground. This will charge out statics, and if you should be happening to grab a live electric wire with one hand, and a telephone wire with your other hand it will be no risk, because the resistor limits the current.  The risk will be if a fault no1 connect the system to ground or Live, and the next fault, fault no 2 connects to the another voltage (related to the first fault)

How does my logic's sound in your ears?
