Post your "Find of the Month" here.

A "Find of the Month" is a telephone or a related item that you acquired during the month that you are particularly excited about either because of its rarity, the difficulty you had in trying to find it for your collection or the exceptional "deal" that you got on it.

The "Find of the Month" contest is focused on the collection of telephones rather than on their sale for a profit. To be eligible for the "Find of the Month" contest:

- The finder must have personally acquired and actually own the item.
- The item can be acquired for free but it can not be a gift or present from anyone.
- The item (or any of its components) cannot be put up for sale during the contest period.
- Only one "Find" per owner can be in a "Find of the Month" contest.

A Nomination Should Include:

1) where and/or how the item was found.
2) the price & shipping cost.
3) the forum link to the topic discussing the find.
4) the eBay link if won there.
5) and other information of importance about the find.
6) one or two pictures of the item.

Ideally your item would be posted in its own thread elsewhere on the forum such as "Auction Talk", "Flea Market/Yard Sale Finds" or "Collectors Corner" Board. Then you or anyone else can nominate your "Find" to the Current "Find of the Month" thread by posting at least one picture and other details including the price paid, any shipping costs and a link to the original discussion on the forum. It is not a requirement that your find be posted elsewhere on the forum but the more details the better.

Nominations of phones listed in other forum discussion topics, by members that do not own the item but realize it is indeed a "find" worthy of being nominated as a "Find of the Month" candidate, are always welcome.

Please pick your best "Find" to submit for the month limiting your entry to one phone or one "Find" that might include limited multiple items. If you have already entered for the month and come up with something even better either submit your new find indicating that it replaces your previous entry OR you can enter your new Find in next months contest.

Sargeguy

I have a backlog of finds from April.  I'll nominate yesterday's 1972 Western Electric New England Telephone early 1C single slot paystation purchased from a seller in Norwood MA for $50.  The phone appears to have been ripped off the wall of a bar, Muldoon's, in New Bedford, MA some time in the 1970s.  It features the older Bell logo, original gray handset, and "tear drop" coin return handle.  The "DO NOT USE FOREIGN COINS" instruction card is one of the cooler ones I've seen.

I would like to nominate my Mediteranean Blue Mini 500. It is the last color I needed and is a hard to find color. Picked up from an ATCA member, who purchased it just for me, for only $20.00!

Could I please nominate this gorgeous Black Bakelite GEC Muraphone.

Originally a shed find but I had to buy it from the finder. I've totted up how much this one has cost me, about £80 total as I had to purchase new 'old' line and handset cords, and replace the missing handset parts with original - so I had to buy those in too.
It was worth every penny to save this phone (click on thread above for more info/pics).

A beautiful phone.  :)

I nominate my Western Electric 1968 rose pink rotary Trimline that is new mint unused in it's original box with promo paper. The phone is dated 4-68 and the box is dated 12-67. Found in an antique shop in southwest Michigan. Cost $27.

My find of the month is a very complete Avaya Definity G3 System.    I had been watching this on craigslist for over a year waiting for the price to come down.   Finally it came down to $250 So I made the 3 hour tour to Indiana and brought it back home.

An interesting Find of the Month so far...5 finds and they were all submitted by May 6. Everyone must have gone on vacation (like me) after that. The poll is together so it is time to vote. Let's VOTE for TWO this month and see who has hauled home the most coveted "Find of the Month"!

That's it for May 2018's Find of the Month and while it could have almost been a four way tie, fortunately it wasn't with HarrySmith's Mediterranean Blue Miniature 500 Capturing the most votes. Harry is on a roll having also won just Auction Contest 333!

Congratulations to Harry and thanks to everyone who played and everyone who voted.
