How can I connect this  T_E_L phone..any help please

That is a magneto set, so connecting it to a standard phone line would require some modification.  You might be able to find some useful information at: britishtelephones.com.

Built by Ericsson telephones ltd in England there is a British site with diagrams .there should be a model number somewhere.Might not be compatable

It looks like T.E.L. but it is E.T.L.  Poss wrong handset.

Since we do not know, lets look at this:  Does your dial hav only 2 wires connected?  If Yes we have probably identified it , I no, we have to look on the other diagrams.

Hi Dsk,
Dial have only 2 wires. please check my pictures. your diagram Green and White going to LINE, Blue and Orange going to Power. I am right?
How about RED wire?

When you press the call button, does it stay there until you hang up?

Is it OK to wire it for a 2 wire system, or to a UK system slave socket?

call button stay there until hang up. I connect the  power. There is no dial Tone? any help please

This is a local battery set, never seen any equal, but I it was mine, I had tried to put a battery of approx 3V between the terminals 9-10
Line between 2 -3 and a ringer capacitor between 3 - 1  The capacitor should be non  polarized and rated at least 200V. approx 1 microFarad.

When you go off-hook, and press the call button you should get dial tone. Dialing will result in loud clicks in the receiver!

Try it out.
