I just put my 1955 kelloggs handset in the oven to bake for 2 hours on 220. I will try to put pics on here later. I did not put it on 250 because I was afraid it was too  hot

One adam 12, fire on West side of town. Fire in kitchen. Neighborhood smells like plastic burning, so, take gas masks.

Kenny,
You must have been very good this week for your mom to let you talk her into using the oven for a phone project.  Keep working on her and she just might come around to your way of thinking , and ours , about old telephones!!!!!!!!!  Post a pic.   stub

Please let me know of baking the telephone parts in the oven leave is residue of odor.
I am concerned if it will have any ill effect on future food cooking.

Thanks
Russ

Can't be any worse than the 2 dozen oysters in the shell I cooked in the microwave a couple days ago.
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.

I agree.  It can't be any worse than some of the real food I have cremated in my oven.  I am a lousy cook.  I do better with phone parts in the oven and the dishwasher.

I've never noticed any chemical taste after using the oven for curing paint.  I don't even think I've smelled it in the oven after the parts were removed.
