New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed about a day and a half ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve and starting at $9.99 is what really may be an even better condition rare telephone than seen in Auction Contest 290. This phone is a complete WE beige 1511 D phone with the base dated 4-66. paul-f's site describes this phone as "Two line with extension set exclusion (raise left plunger), push/turnkey for line selection and signaling, and wired for speakerphone." Some forum members have pointed out that this may be an elusive "Home Interphone" due to the attached exterior speaker. The seller provided a good array of external only images, including some sort of external speaker unit. Unlike the green 1511D, this phone only has two stickers, the original handset (not a punched modular) and seems to be in overall good condition including the base. Since being listed, the phone received 4 bids from 4 buyers raising the price to $12.50. It will go higher but again the question is who best knows what the phone will sell for when the auction ends?

NOTE:  We will use a $3.00 gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $3.00 away from prior guesses for this contest. All guesses, original and a single allowed revised guess if needed, must be submitted at least 24 hours before the auction ends.

The seller listed it as a "Rare!! Western Electric G3 -10# Push Button Phone-2 Line-Operator O Button" with the item condition as "Used" and " -- " and with the auction listing description saying simply "Actual pictures of item I'm selling. This I'm told is a Rare find. 10# push button phone with 2 lines. Comes with Original Cord and Speaker box. Seems to be completely Original. I believe the original speaker box is also very rare hard to find."
