If a member in the UK is after a Northern Electric desk-set there's one on eBay right now - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-original-GPO-telephone-General-Electric/273237848143
The seller clearly doesn't know what it is!
I've got one that I bought from Canada year's ago so I won't be bidding (even though this one looks a bit better than mine, which has a factory-refurb painted handset).

NE #1 Uniphone. It is funny how often someone can read Northern Electric or Western Electric or Automatic Electric on a phone and then write "it's a General Electric!"

Nice looking phone, sadly out of my price range though (had to buy a new mattress for my bed, let's just say I won't buy another from Ikea again, they fall apart easily!!), hopefully someone here'll buy it... :)

Well if someone wants to offer me money for something with broken springs and pepsi stains on it, feel free to do so...  ;D

There was an escort on TV the other week who said he made more from selling used underwear than he did from escorting.

I don't really know to be honest.
They're not easy to find in the UK and getting one shipped from the USA wouldn't be cheap.

My favorite listing mistake for Northern Electric Uniphones is "North Electric".      I think over the last 20 years, there must have been 200 or more, Uniphones listed as "North Electric" sets.

Just the one bid on this, sold for £48. Did anyone on here get this phone?

I'm curious as to how some phone jumped the pond prior to ebay and the like. I know radio shack (you will be missed) used to import large batches of PTT phones, were there similar import deals in the UK?
