I just added the 2013 eBay auction screen capture provided by the seller in this contest phone's images. Since the seller had stated the sale price in the current listing description, I did not pay any attention to that image.

That screen capture states the history, someone's historical account, of this telephone which is worthy of being documented in this contest for posterity. Seems only 27 made in the Christchurch NZ area as their first telephone system? back in 1881 and the one that sold 5 years ago went for $12,200 plus $165 shipping, from NZ.

I sent a message to the seller asking if there are any marking on the sides of either boxes and the seller has not replied as of this post.

Man...Value has been cut pretty severely....All the fat pocket books must be over there with Doug on Craigslist....
