  Look what I found at a garage sale this morning!
Five bucks for this 1940's vintage 4 legged drop leaf table.
I think it's a telephone table. It now stands proudly in my living room. It has some finnish issues on top, but, not too shabby.

Yeh, and, I'm going back there tommorrow for some other furniture, if it's still there.
I also picked up the solid pine book case you see in the background. It has a drawer, and, some space underneath, as well.
It has porcelin hand painted knobs on it.
I bought a mirror, a 50's steel wire waste basket, and, a working 60's steel flashlight, as well, and, some lp records.

Cool!  I sometimes find telephone tables when doing key word searches for phones on Craigslist.  I always bookmark them but never followup.

Nice table!  If I ever get a house with a nice entry/vestibule area, it's getting a Gossip Bench and a 302!!!  Especially if it's a nice old 1920s bungalow.  Even though I'd prefer an Eames Era Ranch!  I look for telephone tables all the time, but like you Brinybay, cannot think of where I'd put one!
