Hi All,

I was wondering what a six conductor wall cord be used for. Any ideas? Were these for two line 500 sets or speaker phones?

Thank you much,

Joe

701B (Princess), 510E and 510F (2-lines + signaling). for example.

510A/B (2 lines, no signal) has only 4 conductors in the mounting cord.
511A/B (2 lines + signal + exclusion) has 10 conductor mounting cord.
511C/D, which can be used with speakerphone, has 16-conductor mtg. cord.

Joe,

You can find info on several variations of 6 conductor mounting cords and their uses in BSP 501-140-103.

Single-line rotary dial Card Dialers (model 660) use a 6-conductor line cord (2 for the phone line, 2 for the motor in the automatic dialer, and two for optional A-lead control).

We always used 6 conductors for the Norwegian table top magneto phones, 2 for the line. 2 for battery, and 2 for extra ringer.
