I have used 2 styles successfully, both with similar results.
Here's one from a Swiss collector using a Mosfet:

I used a bridge rectifier instead of the single diode. I also used a Mosfet from a broken switching power supply.
The other one works with 2 standard NPN transistors or 1 Darlington type, for example BC517. I used 1k for R1, could not hear much difference with other values: https://www.dampfradioforum.de/download/file.php?id=21292&mode=view

That said, I meanwhile have found a couple of early Krone transistor capsules. I prefer these now, as their transmission quality is perfect. With the home grown ones I still got complaints from the called party occasionally.

The 9th phone- attached picture is stolen from the site- has a metal Galion shell with hammered paint, distributed by a small French Company from Marseille: Moiroux. It has a protruding French dial and a 1924 or 1934 handset. I wasn't able to find any info about this company. Maybe they produced the phones, maybe they just bought the shells and rebranded them. It has PTT 1936 (?) internals and a different baseplate.
Also note that the Grammont here has a Tefag base.
