Interesting trade token that sold on eBay for around $75.   My pockets were not deep enough on this one:

What was the actual size of this token?  Do you even know?

Sargeguy

The auction did not list a size, but most trade tokens are the size of a nickel or so.

Here is a less flashy example from S.N.E.T.:

Another example from P.T.T.  Not sure if this is an actual token or an advertising piece. What does the slogan on the reverse signify?  Reminds me of Lawrence Olivier's Nazi dentist in Marathon Man

Keep in mind that some of these early tokens may have been handed in to an attendant, before the widespread use of coin collectors.

Is it Safe? Possibly a work safely reminder give-a-way to the employees.

I understand the token means, "Don't travel to where you want to talk, rather Telephone", HOWEVER in today's world it has a slightly different meaning. "This is not a cell phone, it Don't travel"

Talk?  Why talk when you can text?  Or facetime.

I like the first one from SNET. I was born and raised in SNET territory, I remember my parents waiting to make a long distance call at night when the rate dropped!

The first one is from NETT, not SNET.  Of course if you are calling at night you may want to use the one from Sunset.
