We began doing the "Find of the Year" contests in early 2014 doing the "Find of the Year" for 2013 and then we worked our way backwards covering 2012 and 2011. The "Find of the Month" was started by Dennis is October 2010 so there were only three winners for 2010 but we may as well wrap things up properly and determine who had the "Find of the Year" for 2010. In honour of the way the "Find of the Month" began, we will do just ONE VOTE EACH and see who wins the "Find of the YEAR - 2010".

Take a few minutes to go through the list below. John "TelePlay" has created one post per entrant along with brief details, a link to the original nomination and the seperate topic on CRPF if there was one, and one picture of each contestant. The pictures are from the Photobucket site that John "TelePlay" maintains of all Find of the Month winners as well as the winners of the "Auction Contests".

Bushman posted this about it:

I have been helping a guy out with some mechanic work over the past couple of month's. I wouldn't take any cash from him for the help. He just dropped by and asked if I would take a phone for payment. I said sure without even knowing what it was. I just figured it would be a 70's 500 or something like that. Here are two pics of what he gave me.

I've always loved Bakelite and by gone days. I recently built a garage and needed an intercom......
I saw a couple of old phones in an antique shop and thought it would be cool to turn them into intercoms. I fell in love as soon as I picked the first phone up. As I was paying for the phone (100 canadian) . . .

I think I have to nominate my find - a Mediterranean Blue '56 500 bought on Boxing Day 2010 for £29, or $45.

Time to determine who had the best Find for 2010. Place your vote now so we can wrap up the last year that we have yet to pick the ultimate winner for.

Time to wrap up the "Find of the YEAR" competition for 2010. The Find of the Month was started in October 2010 so there were only 3 monthly winners for this year.

Ritchie's Mahogany AE 34 that he sagged in an antique shop for the atrocious amount of $100 (Canadian = what, $34 and 40 cents?) has taken the honours for 2010. I wish I had a Mahogany AE ANYTHING!

Congratulations Ritchie, wherever you are! And congratulations to Bushman and TomB for their wonderful finds as well.

Your trophy is right below Ritchie. If you stop by and see this, please say hello!

And thanks to John "TelePlay" for whipping up another Find of the Year trophy in his extensive metal/wood/plastic shops located in the pantry cupboard just off of his kitchen!
